That's what I did when I built my .260 from a .22-250. Midway had the drop in barrel from Shilen already threaded. A friend had a wrench and headspace gauge and we had it on in 15mins. It actually took longer to get the old barrel free than to install the new one. All one needs is the said Savage barrel nut wrench, proper headspace/no go gauge, bolt face if necessary, and a barrel vise. It's so easy, a mechanically inclined caveman could do it!
